Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Sheet & Coil

Protect against corrosion with hot-dipped galvanized steel sheet and coil products from Alliance Steel.

Hot-dip galvanizing is a process of coating steel with a thin zinc layer, which serves as a barrier between the steel and the environment. The finish is applied by passing the steel through a molten bath of zinc at a high temperature.

Alliance Steel’s hot-dipped galvanized steel sheet and coil service capabilities include slitting, shearing, blanking, degreasing and brushing, stretcher leveling and metallurgical support.

Applications for Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Products

Galvanized steel is well suited for applications that need rust-resistant materials at a competitive price, ultraviolet light protection and easy integration with other materials. Industries that use hot-dipped galvanized steel products include:

  • Automotive
  • Pipe and Tubular
  • Outdoor Recreation
  • Agriculture
  • Construction

Optimized HRPD 1/30:

Protect against corrosion without oil using hot pickled dry sheet and coil products from Alliance Steel. Hot-rolled pickled dry steel sheet and coil is descaled of oxides and rinsed, but the material’s surface is not oiled after pickling.

Hot rolled steel products will scale when in contact with oxygen and water vapor after the forming process. An acid bath removes scale and surface oxides that usually form on the surface of hot rolled steel as it cools. After pickling and rinsing, hot rolled pickled dry steel is stored in our climate-controlled warehouse.

Hot Rolled Pickled Dry Sheet (HRPD)

Alliance Steel stocks hot rolled pickled dry (HRPD) steel sheets that are often used when pickling is needed without adding a layer of oil. As an ISO 9001:2015 company, we meet all industry standards and customer requirements by setting the bar high.

Alliance Steel Stretcher Leveling Capabilities Capabilities:

Material Thickness: .040" - .375"
Max Coil:  80,000 lbs.
Max Length:  400
ID:   23" - 27"
Max Entry:  75"
Max Skid  10,000 lbs.

Hot Rolled Pickled Dry Coil

Alliance Steel is prepared to support your steel needs with an extensive inventory of flat rolled sheet and coil products. After the forming process, hot rolled steel products will scale. Protect hot rolled steel products from corrosion with pickled and oiled and pickled dry surface treatments, which defend against inorganic contaminants, rust, and scale.

Alliance Steel Slitting Capabilities:
