Sheet Metal Laser Cutting
Laser cutting is a method of cutting a design from metal sheets and plates using a highly focused laser to melt material in a localized area. The process meets the tightest tolerances by using a precise cutting surface guided by computer-aided design. Since laser cutting is an extremely precise and accurate process, the cuts it creates require very little deburring, making fabricating components with intricate details easier.
Laser Cutting Equipment & Capabilities
At Alliance Steel, our three fiber lasers can process up to 1” thick mild steel with a maximum sheet size of 60” x 120”. As a result, each laser provides enhanced cutting quality while holding tighter tolerances and efficiency. These state-of-the-art laser systems enable us to cut material thickness ranging from 22ga-1". Our fiber lasers deliver a minimal cutting kerf, thus maximizing cutting precision and accuracy.
- Size: 60" x 120" sheet capacity
- .010" - 1.00” mild steel
- Assisted Gases: Nitrogen
