Material Operator
Job Description:
Alliance Steel is a steel service center in Gary, Indiana, with easy access on and off highways. A Material Operator must be a dependable self-starter who can work with minimal supervision. Must be a safety-conscious worker.
Responsibilities:
- Promote Safety as the Number 1 priority of all employees.
- Operate a variety of packaging machines.
- Perform packaging operations with 100% accuracy.
- Maintain the work area safe and clean.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, when necessary.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
PHYSICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:
- Medium work that includes moving/lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to continuously stand for all or most of a regular work shift, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
