Protect against corrosion without oil using hot pickled dry sheet and coil products from Alliance Steel. Hot-rolled pickled dry steel sheet and coil is descaled of oxides and rinsed, but the material’s surface is not oiled after pickling.
Hot rolled steel products will scale when in contact with oxygen and water vapor after the forming process. An acid bath removes scale and surface oxides that usually form on the surface of hot rolled steel as it cools. After pickling and rinsing, hot rolled pickled dry steel is stored in our climate-controlled warehouse.
